From 1 July 2007, it has been illegal in the UK to smoke in enclosed workplaces. Many employers wish to provide their staff a shelter whilst they take their break meaning they are comfortable working when they return. Converting existing units can often prove difficult (if not more costly) trying to ensure they meet space and design requirements, not to mention legislation regarding smoking shelters.
Your shelter must have at least one side removed in order to ensure it is not an 'enclosed space'. All our units are built with a pitched roof to prevent standing water causing damage. They can be made of lightweight yet extremely rigid materials and can also be made as a flat pack version (installed on site) saving you money on delivery and installation. To keep the area clean, we add cigarette stubbers and ashtrays with seating added if required. Contact us for more information.
